Eco Fuels was delighted to have been chosen to provide a new low carbon heating solution to the Southwell Estate of Norwood Park. Norwood Park is a prestigious venue for events such as weddings, and has within its grounds a large fruit growing business and a golf course.
The new heating system provides heat from a new remote boiler house to the main building using underground insulated district heat pipe into an existing boiler room. The existing twin gas boilers have been retained. The new system is hydraulically separated to the two existing heating systems in the property using a bespoke Heat Interface Unit designed and constructed by Eco Fuels Heating.
The owner of Norwood Park runs a successful fuel business "Nottinghamshire Logs". Waste materials from this business can be chipped and used to fuel the boiler, a 245kW Schmid UTSL. This means that fuel costs are very low, and the payments through the RHI give a satisfactory return on investment for the client.
